About us:
At the end of the fall season 2014 Joe Clemente held an executive meeting to review the feedback from teams that participated in the Spring/Summer/Fall tournaments. It was determined that in spite of the fact everyone agreed that they had a love for the tournament environment the majority felt it did not always meet the expectations of the Coaches, Players and Families.
The basics were: Many teams found they were travelling 3 or 4 hours only to play teams that were located less than 30 minutes from their home fields. Some felt the expense of travel, hotels and sometimes being charged admission fees to attend the games was becoming a financial burden, while others stated that when siblings were involved in different activities traveling as a family unit was sometimes impossible to do leaving them spending more time apart than necessary.
Based on these statements, Joe felt there had to be a way to provide top quality competitive tournaments that would alleviate some of these issues. He decided that Tommy D who has been organizing the Maywood “Firecracker” Tournament for the last 7 years, had the experience and knowledge needed to implement a tournament series offering Premier tournaments that would alleviate some of the issues at hand and at the same time benefit communities by offering support to those in need.
Joe also felt the purpose would be better served if they formed a n alliance with the Rockland Baseball Association representing the AABC, NABF, PONY and USSSA Baseball Organizations. With the RBA’s vast experience in organizing and hosting tournaments for the State, Regional & World Series, the “Fight On” Series would take its place in the Tournament World by offering the opportunity for teams to play top quality competitive games and providing the opportunity to advance to Championship Tournaments within these outstanding organizations . In the words of Travis Sample, Strength & Conditioning Trainer at CBSA “Lead by Example”
The time had come to take the concept of providing premier tournaments while teaching our players to “give back” to those in need to the next level. With that being said “FIGHT ON” Tournaments is proud to announce it’s opening season in the Spring of 2015.
